About

The number of Social Media users is growing rapidly – and so is the number of criminal incidents on Twitter, Instagram and other platforms. Due to their inexperience and lack of knowledge, especially younger users are in danger of being victims of phenomena such as hacking, blackmailing, threatening or hate speech. To counteract this problem, the project SicherSocial – Lern-, Lehr- und Arbeitsmaterialien für junge Menschen, LehrerInnen und Eltern zur Steigerung der Sicherheit in den Sozialen Netzwerken (SicherSocial – Teaching, learning and working materials for young people, teachers and parents for the increase of security on Social Media) aims to educate students from the ages of six to eighteen as well as teachers and parents about the dangers of Social Media by designing materials fitted to their target group.
